this song is my favorite NEWSBOYS songs, Im not really into them anymore, Ive strayed from the whole CCM world. But this is one of the few songs I cant live without at an ears reach to listen. Its just beautifully written. I love the imagery..etc etc. Anyways!! Great song for a very respectable revolutionary influencial band.! |

This song really did amaze me lyrically, I respect him for not being scared to bring up religious matters up. I have to disagree with "hayseedpunxgirl" about the "Crappy christian music out now". Now, if ever is the time to keep an ear out for the christian music scene, to the ignorant or cautious, the christian music of today has become something totally different ever. It can only get better, and believe it or not, alot of the bands you hear on the radio, or on soundtracks have Christian music backgrounds. So, whether or not you want to actually listen to the "crappy christian music" then go ahead, nothing to be afraid of ;). And I know that you will find even more "honest" songs about God out there!! THis song is amazing, seriously probably one of my favs and one of the most powerful impactful song ive ever heard..to me, the song is a warning to people. Saying DONT LET THIS HAPPEN to you, i dunno, thats what it says to me..to be consumed by all the troubles or worries and pain, and dont want to be swept away by the currents in this river filled with all those things. |

I believe this song is probably one of the best songs on the album. To me the song is saying...no matter how bad or messed up you think things are; there is always God. And some people are questioning God during this whole 9-11 thing. But you cannot CANNOT let the troubles and sorrow around...consume you and make you doubt Gods LOVE for us. God is good all the time. I am very "glad to be alive" I cannot wait to see what God does in my life and the lives around me
