| I think this song is something completely different. i think this song is about how people should break away from there violent instincts and evolve into a more unified species. he "looks to his species and trembles" because he sees all these people fighting and struggling and he knows it will go nowhere and if we just leave our violent instincts we will find a brand new evolution so to speak. watch all thats wasted wash away and start a new life. I dont really know how to put it into words but that is my view on this song | |

| Crass kicks ass. Everyone has opinions, but crass has some of the best lyrical content i have seen by far. I think some people should actually read the lyrics before they go around saying i hate Crass 20 fuckn times. Dont u just hate these hypocritical assholes who try to be better than everyone else, in a scene that is meant for unity. If you dont like the music listen to something else and dont bitch. punk is fucking dead, Go to hot topic and look at the exploited shirts that they proudly display. Humans are nothing more than just a bunch of capitalist consumer jocks. There are a few of us who still try to hang on to what punk was, but until it changes and we can stop the fighting then punk is just fucking dead. | |

| i agree with rimzilwave and beersexviolence. give them some respect. the casualties do have many songs about fashion and getting drunk. they also have songs with a meaning such as: unemployed, no room for the youth, your life, divide and conquer. and vicitms to name a few. everyone in here is entitled to there own opinion, but i think the casualties deserve a little more respect than this. punk is about expressing yourself and going against the norm and if they choose to do this by singing about getting drunk and what not then i say fuck yeah to them, at least there putting an effort into keeping this scene alive. anyone who calls someone a poser must be insecure about themselves or must be a poser themselves. you are the ones dividing the scene and causing conflict. how can u say punks not dead when we cant even get along? no wonder they have so many songs about broken unity. | |

I think this song means u are in hopeless denial that a person will return to u, kindove like dreaming of someone and waking up to reality finding that u r still all alone "do i hear the hollow sound, footseps residing on this frozen ground or the familiar disapointments of the echoes of my own" u r still waiting for this person even though u know that they will never return to u "waiting by the stairs, waiting i despair" and so u end up in this sort of melancholic sadness that u fear u will never recover, but there is always comfort in knowing youll never be seen "somehow i ended up here in between, were there is always the comfort of knowing ill never be seen, when i fall" and in the end all u want to do is wait for that person no matter if they will return to u or not "I wait for just one touch and I fall Weightless, endless. | This song means you have lost everything and u feel overwehlming despair, but the despair brings a comforting warmth because u know things cant get any worse "so I lie in this field bathed in the light that loves me with nothing left to lose" "id retrace the steps that led me here but nothing lives behind me" means u remember how things were before this event happened but it is all gone now and u have nothing left to lose "three tears ive saved for u" means u r still clinging onto the hope that u will overcome this despair and have that feeling back (maybe of someone who left u) and so u save three tears. i was going through a time like this and this song is all i listened to. i think all of the meanings are right, and most of daveys lyrics are ment to be interpreted in the way u want them to be. | |
