What I really hate about Linkin Park (and nu metal in general) is that people actually believe in your so called 'anger'. Sure, the anger that nu metal shows looks like the real thing, but at the same time it just shows gullable and how people can so easily conform. Goldengoalie------Why the hell would I like them? Because I don't like bands that are popular? If a band that I really liked happened to be popular then I would like them, but most bands that I like suck corpurate ass because all they care about is the false ideals in music that just serves them to gain more money and fame. One song? Hell, I'd say all the songs sound similar to Nsync. Didn't someone else comment that they sound like a cross between Limp Bizkit and Nsync? Hahaha. Also, what I was saying is that Linkin Park, when put up against 100 other metal bands, their talent would bring them to the bottom of those 100 bands. Likewise, most people wouldn't even be able to tell who Linkin Park were amongst 100 other Nu metal bands. So, what is the difference between Eminem and the guy that raps in Linkin Park? I guess this song is pretty obvious to me what it's about, but I guess it depends how you look at it. Basically the guy (/band) hates everybody and realises to get through life you have to push all of it away in your mind to get through this world of shit and lies where the human race kills 'for our lust and greeds'. Nope, never heard of Operation Ivy which means.... I don't know their story. Well....actually, Nsync etc arn't all that different to LP as they both sound similar, just LP use guitars, but....they both have dj's, both wear trendy ass clothes and both suck ;) Yeah, I'd say if you don't know the history of the music genre you're pretty much a trendy. It's like they hear one band off that genre and think that its the best in the world, when I can think of 200 bands off the top of my head who are much better talented, have better lyrics and are more original than this corporate crap that Linkin Park put out. You put LP in a group of 100 other Nu metal bands, would you be able to tell who Linkin Park were? I think not. And wait...you like the rap in LP, so...if Emimem was to guest star in one of LP's songs you would like it? Actually....that'll probably happen someday. |

Hey. I do think most people like Linkin Park because of their looks or because because they're popular, either way. I guess you wouldn't be a teenybopper if you liked the band before they got big, but if you liked Backstreet boys before they turned big, does that mean that you're not a teenybopper? Hell no, of course you're a teenypopper, when you first hear a band, you know if they're teenypopper material or not, which Linkin Park are. Another thing I hate about most Linkin Park fans is that most of them don't know anything about the metal genre, its history etc. I hate that Linkin Park have brought rap into metal when rap is one of the crapest types of music out there. And....I don't dislike bands that are just played on the radio or whatever, bands that are played on the radio have a certain sound, and that is what I hate. Also...most bands that play on the radio do it souly for the money, they don't care about the music. That is what I hate. And hey, I'm not preaching anything, I'm just stating my opinion, I'm just saying the opposite of your view, that I hate the song and band. |

Breaking The Habit, LoL. Its strange that you only seem to comment on (a) my spelling and (b) me commenting on a band that I hate, hmm. Another thing, the reason why I come onto band lyric pages that I hate and comment, is because as I've already said, how do people get their point across to the government etc? They go to a place where government members are gonna be, which makes sense, and thats the same thing as I'm trying to do. 'You probably dont like any music'. What the hell? For example, In The End song, urm, duh, hasn't everyone felt like they wanted to shout 'Shut up when I'm talking to you?'. Then again, so does a 5 year old, and a 5 yeasr odl could probably write these lyrics. 'That would be in your attention craving bitch', ergh, can't you write it properly if you actually want to insult me? Lame..... Okei, its really disturbing how many people liek this. Again, the same old 'I totally relate to it' Man... Do you even notice that most of LP's songs are rap? Jeez, and btw, have any of you ever seen LP live? They have no talent whatsoever, a band is defined by how great they are because of how good they are live, not because of how much time in the studio they spend altering the sound. Another great thing is how all of you wouldn't give a damn about LP if they hadn't been on the radio/MTV or whatever. Their lyrics suck, you can relate to them because they are so general, its like a painting with a white background and a dot. People could say that they could relate to it because....its a dot, and there's actually dots in real life, hah. Jeez, its really sad how many teenieboppers there are for this band, nu-metal (and pop-punk_ is destroying the actual extreme genre. Ah, my God, this is hilarious. Of course you can relate to this song, my Mom could relate to this song, hell even my dog could. Lol, 'I find bliss in ignorance', heh. I hate how Nu-Metal bands are considered to be even part of the metal genre, they are Rap with a bit of shouting in, argh, I would kill Faith No More (or KoRn) if it meant that there wouldn't be nu-metal, hah. And...great touch how all of you say this 'describes my life', wow, great. The lyrics....so fantastic, I mean, wow, the great thing about commercial mainstream music is you don't know what the hell they are talking about, because they have to appeal to the masses, so that they actually sell records. I hate their DJ as well, jeez, so ruining the metal genre. Isn't it you nu-metal fans that say Rap sucks, well....isn't this rap with shouting? Dude, Pink Floyd 388, I think you got a bit confused. My point was that at least Slipknot (even though in my opinion-they kinda suck) at least they don't rely on teenieboppers for their fan support. I mean, if Linkin Park were ugly do you really think so many people would like them? No. Of course not. Jeez, I think the reason why Punk Sucks Ass spent so long posting is the same reason why people go on protests and stuff, its what you believe in and therefore you commit time to it. And heh, such great posts. Seriously, commercial punk sucks, it used to be about how people actually *thought* and expressed themselves, now it seems to be just about how the mainstream wants to express themselves through perhaps talented bands. But...talent doesn't equal a good band, I mean, I guess Simple Plan are talented but its just like a talented artist painting a flower all the time ya know? But whatever, its lame that so many people liek this band when the lyrics are so bland and boring, is it just that all you kids are the kids who still think playing music nude is funny? Lyrics are damn cool as well, damn, I mean this is the first song on the album and yet the rest of album is nowhere as heavy as this, why?!!!!
