I bought this Nofx shirt im wearing at hot topic.
Im pretty sure that this song is proclaiming that their rise of popularity has brought them out from the underground, because they have been at the forefront of punk rock for song long now. Its sort of an ironic situation they're in. Really none of it matters. I dont think anyone should be worrying about what other people do with their music. |

Green day are people, with opinions, that they would like to convey through what they do best: music. I think some of you are forgetting that green day are human beings, and deserve to convey themselves. You can listen, or you can decide not to. that is your choice. Bitching about the political content of a song is as useless as the time you spend on your ass, not doing what you say is what you believe to be right. Words on a message board dont do justice to the cause that any of you believe in. |

ha ha, you people are too funny. Yeah Billy was a speed head, but just because one song is about meth, doesnt mean the whole album is. I think that he wrote this song about joey keeping him up. This was the time period in which he had joey. And Green Days newer stuff is still good. Just because hes mellowed out doesnt mean it sucks, i mean he has 2 kids now. Dont you think that snotty nose lyrics and beats go away after maybe you relize that theres more importance in life than worrying about your parents, and school. There is life after your a teenager believe it or not. |

Caffiene is a drug, yes. But what is intended with this revolution was to keep your body and mind clean so you can function in life. Now honestly i dont think that caffiene will impede your quality of life. And milk has harmful chemicals in it, like the hormones that they jack up the cows with, unless of course its organic, or it is rice or soy milk. I'm straight, and i dont care if you drugs or not. Thats YOUR decision. Some people function quite nicely and can get a little drunk on the weekend. I just dont think that its for me. Also, i think its great if you wanna wait till marraige to have sex, but i feel that its not what was intended. Like drugs, sex can fuck up your life if done stupidly, with random people. I believe that sex is something that can be donw between two people who love eachother. you dont have to be married to love someone. Besides marriage is a religios concept. If i recall correctly, Ian wasnt the biggest fan of religion. |

Ill tell what the fuck it is to be Straight edge. Its something that i personally got into because i agreed with the values in the label. Plain and simple, i dont condem people for what they do but i dont do it. Not all straight edgers put Big X's on their hands. I mean why does anybody label themself anything? Because they fit into that label. what would you call someone who didnt eat meat? what would you call someone who believes in punk rock values? Its not just straight edgers who label themselves its everyone. Don't judge something because you heard that the people involved with it are assholes, because no matter what your talking about, there will always be elitist assholes in anything. you may be drug free and all that, but its more than just drug free, its having a clear mind, its about thinking for yourself. And Fuck doesnt mean have pre-marital sex, it means not having sex with anyone you meat and have an attraction to. And i believe music to be art, art is subjective. Believe whatever you want. |
