I see it as referring to a battle for first place and the unevitable loss of the songwriter to his/her opponent. "Televised" could be saying that many people know about the battle and "in green" could refer to the the prize (money, possibly). I don't know, all in all a very general song. |

I've been wondering for awhile what this song has meant. Whether he's been cheating on her or she's been cheating on him and i've kept thinking and I think I've got it...It sounds as if the girl is already in a relationship and he wishes she'd just ditch her guy to be with him (because they've already messed around a little bit). I'm not sure, does anyone else see the song that way? And by the way, I do heart this song. |
