"a call to arms" is an expression. Usually means 'a call to battle or war'. To me it sounds like he's singing to someone who is in a bad state of mind. Either depressed or just has a lot of negativity, possibly looking to commit suicide. He's telling them they can change their ways and get out of the rut they're in if they battle back and "invert this tragedy to come" (could be a suicide reference). "Move through me, I'll be your triumph" He's saying that he'll be there to help this person along in their battle. That's my take on it anyway. I love this song and the rest of the album. Sounds to me like he sings "I've read the book, I know how the story ends" Maybe I'm wrong but it would go with the whole 'book' theme of that line. |

ASimpleMan, I love how you said "it's very hard for a nice person, maybe a little bit of an outcast, to get along." I love this song because I can relate to it. Recently everyone close to me has turned their back on me, friends, girlfriend, parents...and I didn't even do anything. I can't catch a friggin break. I just want to find a darkened corner. I've been with mudvayne since the beginning and they are truly my favourite band, they just keep getting better. |

Hey. um tis is just my opinion. but i think (i dont know wat the hell a tire hub is. but im gessing that if there is such a thing. the wen you look through it you cant see much....) " looking at life trough the eyes of a tire hub". i think that means. we only see so much. like think about. have you ever looked through a tire hub i dont think you can see much... so therefore. we only see wat we want to see. we choose not to get invovled with other things around us. we only want ne thing to do with ourselves. we dont care wat eles happens. that ppl is plane IGNORENS seriously. think about it. like fer example..... wats goin on in BagDad or watevver tis called. sum people choose to not get invovled with it. they dont wont to. there focused on one thing. there selves. and money. there to scared to look at wats goin on around them. the human race is just plan fuckin scared to see ne thing then wats in there own life..... hence " looking at life though the eyes of a tire hub" now i may-b wrong but that wat i think, ps: i cant speel |

| i think the song is refering to how people are always trying to change us ( goths i mean) like really leave us the fuck alone, god they dont knoe our childhood or ne thing about us. all they no is that we to them are unapprpriate or unacceptable. they cant change us if we dont want to change god dammit!!! and the sonf refers to suiced. i have trying menny times to kill myself because of wat people think of me and how they act around me. it dont make sence. and yo mudvanye i really can relate to your music. i love it wy parents always take your cds away so i fuckin go at em wit knifes. thats how important you r to me. dont change mudvanye be who you are dont turn into wat other people want you to turn into. like sum fuckin boyband shit. who only sing about fuckin girls and money. luz ya bye | |
