i can't believe that there was so much speculation about this song. this song is so simple and to the point. suicide. then again the only person who would know the meaning of this song is conor and we might all be wrong. i get a bright eyes song stuck in my head for like a week. this is not the one for this week however. |

this is my opinion: he puts his face in the dirt and he realizes that heaven is not ready for him despite his attempts. anyways, it's nice to know that people pay attention to the connections (pills/alcohol, family, funerals) great song too, so simple, lovely |

good song, one of my favorite (along with like 50 of my other favorite bright eyes songs)
one band i've been listening to lately is the delgados.
"all you need is hate" and "coming in from the cold" and "no danger" are really good songs |

being out in the middle of a desert not knowing when you're going back home, i would listen to this song every night and hear, "and i wait for the day, when i hear the key..." and i was at the point where i can't control the flood of tears, it filled me with hope. then i would hear conor's reassuring voice, "and then finally we will know the way out of here, and i'll throw away this wrinkled map..."
it all made sense |

i have never even heard this song on the radio- oh wait i don't listen to the radio. well that's a lie. my radio is set on this classic rock station (99.1 the bandit) that is only heard when changing from my white stripes cds to bright eyes cds or los desaparecidos cd or pink floyd cds or alan parsons project cds or beatles cds anyways this is a neat (hee-hee-hee, squealing like a little girl) song |
