I think this song is a social commentary. He basically talks about how, as soon as we are evolved enough, we kill ourselves and each other. We change from monkeys into humans, at which point we are able to kill. The same as the creation of the atomic bomb (Had we not become technologically advanced, we could not cause massive death.) |

This song reminds me of my current situation. My best friend stole my girlfriend of 3 years ("The Angel"), and after this had occured, I felt like commiting suicide. Well a while ago, she told me that she still loved me and wanted to be with me. I feel that the APPLE OF DISCORD is about 2 people stuggling for the same woman and she is "torn" between them. It is this tension that "breaks her heart." |
