this song is so good, Ive known it for a long time a friend from south africa exposed me to Saron gas (ie: seether, the new improved (?) american band) and this song hasnt changed but its always been good. I think this song is just really questioning the point! Whats the point? Of anything? life, death. Does it matter? Its like people tell him its all going to be fine and its not, people are just assuming and hes the one that pays so dearly, by dying just a little more everytime his hopes are braught up and then dropped again. it says he trys to stay sober but feels like hes dying, then later says WHY stay sober when your dying? Its as if hes trying to stay in one peice but then falls apart ANYWAY at the thought of him already being dead. |

You can tell that this song is about none other than a....guatamalan! A man exported to work "your not the one giving hugs to the phone" his wife is back home he had to leave everything- its a really sad song when you think about it. at the very end it says donde esta mi familia? which---- i have no clue what it means hehe BUT its something about "my family" |

It's about his emotions as a whole. its about religion and spoiled friendships and just...damage. The damage in his heart that is still there to this day. This song is really touching because I really try to look over the words because i personally enjoy knowning what they mean when I listen to them. I dont listen to music that does not express me, that would be pointless and stupid and I dont feel thats what music is about. So when someone writes a song like this, about how shitty everything is but them managing to keep their head up and not giving in is incredible. |

It's like he's finally realizing that how much self love he DOES have is equally choked by the negative feels toward himself. He loves himself sometimes and he hates himself sometimes. It's all the same- and its the normal feelings when you get disapointed. You will always disapoint yourself, and hes showing everyone that with this song. that your not perfect, and that its okay to hate yourself--but to first make sure that you know who your hating! he says "i think whats done is done and i cant complain, anymore" is sort of telling himself to get over his hate. he cant complain because he has it good, very good. |
