this is such an amazing song and it really hits close to home like... well pretty much all of his songs. One of my very close friends, coincidently named Justin, commited suicide last year... it'll be a year in a few months. And as soon as I heard this song it completely reminded me of him. Chris has a way of writing his songs so that you can completely imagine yourself in that position. He's honest and hopeful and that makes his music all the more beautiful. |

this song is so def man. it has a lot of relevance to summer and the relationships that we go through. how it's so awesome, but it's almost bittersweet because those times are so great but in your mind you know that the summer's going to end and that everything will have to go back to normal and that you probably won't see those amazing people for a long time. like with me, the guy i really like, i only see in the summer. so when i think summer i associate it with him. this song is really great, i just heard it for the first time today. so thanks to my friend for telling me to listen to it:) (brewiss:) |

love this song. it's kind of a song for all the girls out there. people forcing femininty on us. like guys expect us to be all pretty and perfect all the time. you know, to stay in the kitchen and paint our toenails and curl our hair. those things are all good but they don't define us as people. i always felt like i was twice as good at stuff the guys were doing but they took one look at me, saw i was a girl, and rejected me with their eyes. and to hear that i wasn't the only girl who was pissed right off at guys for doing that was a breath of fresh air. my gym teacher made us girls sit out during a game of football because he told us (get this) that we might break a nail! i told him that if i did, he could shove it up his ass along with the stick that was up there. got kicked out of class, but got to play football the next day:) haha sorry for venting. this is a kick ass songand i love it when she says, "i've had it up to here!" so true, so true |

i absolutely love this song, my dad was a huge beatles fan and this is one of the first songs i remember hearing. he used to sing it to me in the morning to wake me up. so it holds a special place for me. it just has such an easy sound to it. very mellowed. whenever i hear it, it's in my head for the rest of the day |

that song is so crazy!! it's almost sad and tired sounding. (i'm not sure if that's right it's all i can think of right now) he jsut sounds so regretful and pained when he says "life had just begun, and now i've gone and thrown it all away" and then that musical sounding part. holy god, if that is not the coolest bit of music out there. who out there would have thought up something like that. and to make it sound cool is just pure genius. i don't really know what it means either, but i think the theory about it being about that book is pretty cool. oh one more thing, burp 15? they probably didn't write it based on the fact that it would be in wayne's world considering that it was written in 1974! just thought you should know |

it's incredible. he did it again. he found exactly what i'm feeling and he made it into a song. this is the perfect way to describe the way i feel about a guy right now. he sounds almost shy. you know that new excited feeling when you first realize that you like someone. i don't know how he does it but i get more hooked on these guys with every song i hear |

by far one of my favorite std songs. isn't it crazy how chris has a song for almost every moment in your life? my favorite line in the song is "out there in the offing everything was melon and orange" someone told me that he was describing the sky which is an absolutely beautiful way to think of it. he's a genius. |
