| Wow...WW2, that's what you got out of it? okaaay that's cool. Anyways.....The upper echelon is something that most societies have.....a certain group or types of people that are considered more.....prestigious then "normal" folk. Like gorvenment officals, genrals of armies, polictians ect;. Vyacheslav Molotov, while an intresting individual, isn't what molotov is refering to, Molotov is a makeshift weapon....or fire bomb. They are are frequently used by the masses in riots against police baricades or other forms of physical oppresion. The song it's self is a call to arms against your oppressers or the "upper echelon". It's a song of rebellion hence the phrase:"breaking, Tear down the wall, upper echelon, blackest of them all". | |

B12 it's another guy, the orignal singer got kicked out before this album and Nathan is the replacement. The song it self is about the storm we all go through in life, struggles and what not. Vela was the name of the sail on the argos ship. Nathan wrote it to describe the journey the band was going to set off on after recording the album (they have been on tour since august 06) hence the title "Vela, Together We Await". |

You souldn't be wasting time on your sorrows and help those that have suffered greater tragedy then you could possibling imagine. it's such a great message, most of the world is so self invovled that we've turned our backs to those that reallly need help, reject your sorrows and materialism. | |

This song will always have a place in my heart...pretty corny i know, but if you read between the lines it can be pretty dark. The song, to me, is about a guy who's in love with a girl that isn't intrested in him cause he's the stay-at-home-kinda-of-guy, and she's the party girl. hence the ironic "it's kinda like a love song". Then she decides that the dogs They belong inside - She believes that you gotta go out and party all the time and only dogs stay in. The party's Happening somehwere else, baby Here there is nothing at all Someday I'll be somebody's love slave For now I've got me all to myself And its kinda like a love song - pretty easy to understand, he's saying he'll find someone that loves his lifestyle...but he's pretty beat up about the fact that she won't love him. Well it's kinda like a love song, yeah - pretty basic. she'll regret that she never saw good things in him. while she's out and about having fun he's at home watching a t.v show and just chilling...being himself instead of something he's not. Your brothers They all think I'm crazy - the people that see his affection towards her thinks he's nut for falling for a girl that is the total opposite of him...but he didn't care. unrequited love. It's a song about trying to be in love with someone you can't have because of your lifestyles and addictions. |

| To me this song is about actually being in an elevator with a bunch of suited strangers. Since this was written for make yourself around the time Brandon was more of a hippie and really anti- establisment. The song, to me, is about wishing to show the suited strangers the wonders of no longer being a slave to a suit and tie and expressing thier desires to be free of a mundane existence. The non-stranger he speaks of is the only person he feels that he can express this desire to, since you know, ridiculing a stranger for no reason would make him an ass. He can't stand it and he wants to just tell them what they could become if they would break out of there mold and let themselfs be free, but for reasons unkown, he can't...it's a song about telling people to "open up and breath" | |
