I was like, "How are you going to let someone so much more talented go on before you?" but I took home the Light and Sound EP, his self titled, and A Brief History. I love the mellow simplicity of his self titled album. Definitly my favorite. This song and, Victims give me a happy. ----- |

what if he was feeling "fuck you"? what better way is there to express "fuck you" than by saying "fuck you"? Damien has a way of reserving words for when they count. This song isn't about flowers and unicorns it's about being hurt, upset, and lashing out. It feels like the repeated "fuck you"s are in the throws of a heated argument and the verses are an after thought. Like, "I've calmed down, I'm composed, and what I meant to say was..." I've also thought about this being a sort of answer to "what the hell do you want?" at the end of I Remember. |

| Why is it everytime someone says a lyric about a same gender thing people assume they're talking about their preference. I transpose gender in a lot of the songs I write. There's alot of reasons for it, potraying aspects of a person that are more commonly attributed to a specific gender is my most common. but really even if he straight up wrote a song called "I like dick" if he kept up the quality he's shown in the past would it matter? | |
