Echos is really awesome! Who would have thought a 23 minute song would kick so much ass? I really don't like how they shortened it in the Echos album:Best of PF. I don't think they should shorten any of the songs they put on that album, but thye shortened a few of them! Hands down, Echos is one of the best songs ever! |

Actually.....Maynard was molested and raped by his father on a few occasions......suprisingly they are at peace with eachother today and they meet at least once a year. I don't know if they ever did it in a tool shed, but that part comes from his fellow band members saying once that they were going to take him back into a toolshed and beat the fuck out of him. That is also PART of the reason they named the band TOOL. So ReeBee, ur not crazy man....ppl r just misinformed about some things. |

this sounds like Maynard is stalking somebody......I bet it is Steven Tyler from Aerosmith! LOL I am kidding....not really sure what this song is about, but it's one of the easier Tool songs to cover. I've heard 4 different local bands playing it before. I actually sang for one of them. |

Until you guys hear this song LIVE, you do not comprehend just how really damn amazing it is. The band changes beats in a way similar to a whole flock of birds changing direction in mid-flight. It goes fast...then slow...then fast...then slow. One direction, then the other, and back again. They all have such unity and control over the pace of this song that it makes me wanna worship them even more! LONG LIVE TOOL! AND LONG LIVE UNDERTOW!!! |

Saw it live August 26th. The two people who came out were the lead singer and drummer of Tomohawk. The singer plays the sampler, and the drummer plays the extra set of drums of course. And the drum solo Danny Carey did for us was about 10 minutes long. Now if only I could see Ticks and Leeches live!!! *cries* |

I like how the little electrical noises go from one side of my surround sound to the other and back. Then they stop and it goes in the opposite direction again. Sounds like electricity is really going through my brain or something! |

If you pay attention, the guitar sounds in the background increase by 1 every time until the end of the message when they start over again. There is a slight pause when they stop every time, and the next time is 1 more beat. By the end of the message, there are 30 beats. Kinda wierd but it is easy to hear if you know what to look for. I also like the song "Maynard's Dick" which follows shortly after. You know you are awesome when you can write a song about your own penis, and other people listen to it and laugh. |

For the record, that guy's name who sings this song is Marko Fox, and he was a member of the band ZAUM. The bass guitarist for the band Filter(which also rocks) also tried out, but Marko Fox was the one who sang this song. |

Arizona Bay was the title of Bill Hicks' last CD. And Tool is one of the biggest Bill Hicks fans ever. If you listen to his stuff on this CD, you will hear him talking about how much he hates LA (i agree). He says he wanted to take a bunch of boyscouts to the San Andreas fault line, give them all crowbars, and have them help him pry on the fault until all of California sinks in. Why? Because Bill Hicks was from Houston, and anybody in Houston will tell you that LA sucks ass. I'm not from Houston, but I still agree. |

Well for starters.....
NO! MAYNARD DOES NOT SING THIS SONG!!!
It is actually sung by a guy who was trying out for the new bass guitar position after Paul D'Amour quit the band following Undertow. The guy was German, and eventhough he didn't make the band as the bass guitarist(obviously they picked Justin Chancellor, a very good choice too might I add), Adam Jones thought he had a cool voice. They then planned out this cute little recipe for german hash cakes. And they are delicious, might I also say.
Oh and for the guy who's insulting America.....I'll remember what you said when I see you across the battlefield. |
