I agree with ate 16am on his/her post. The song is about the person loving a girl that isn't ready to love him. He isn't trying to make love due just because he wants it to happen so he says he can wait for her. He wants his love to be beautiful and natural like a stream not something forceful. He believes in what she wants to do in life before she is ready for love. |

I've been on both sides of the deal. When you are making fun of someone and it is malicious then you are making yourself weaker because it hurts your conscience. Everyone makes fun sometimes and sometimes there are simple reasons for doing it. People being inappropriate can simply be jeered at for placing themselves out of the social context simply because of their ignorance. Many times when people are made fun of for these simplistic terms then it is mainly to help the person realize that maybe a change would create better good for them, or at least that's something positive that you can take from the situation. Then again there are always the malicious ones out there or to state it better there are many moments when people are malicious and blatantly intend to make fun of people. There is something internally bothering the people that have to make fun of people in this way, and they cannot get over it or come to realize what that problem is, or to be long winded here they don't know how to deal with their problems even though they know what they are so they lash out at others that they feel they can get away with dealing it to. The ones on the receiving end, however, should pick up on this easily and know right there that you are already far better off than they are internally and you should just keep doing things to inprove your life while they are still lost within themselves. This way you are beating them at their own game. You should act confident in front of these people and do not let them get to you internally. This will cause them to either stop what they are doing to you because it is not fun anymore, or the situation could get worse and they will try harder to get to you. This is the point where they really expose themselves to you and everyone else within earshot. It just makes them look worse and worse while you are happily better off knowing that they are the ones with the problem. I make fun of myself when I do ignorant things and then I know what my problem is so I can deal with it. I make fun of simple things in life openly just to help myslef or people come to realization about what they can do to improve.
Jon describes an awesome fantasy that people can relate to. He's in the entertainment business so he's entertaining us with how it would be cool to see people hurt that mess with him. He's just telling a fantastic story though and he even says that he is above them and smiling while they drown in their own problems, and you cannot find his hate because he will not drown with them because he sees through them. He will watch them scream while they are lost. After all he's rich and famous and the ones that made fun of him just might be lost in their problems still and drowning in their sorrows because they couldn't break him enough internally to give up his dreams. Jon made it and made it big now he's sending a message back to them through this song even though he should just let it all go since he already knows that he one and so does everyone else. Hey he needs to sell records though so why not make money off of the ones that tried to rob him of life? The irony is the dagger in the poor fools that thought making fun would get them ahead and keep everyone else down. In the end irony, by way of using his (Jon) brain to get ahead was a lot better way of getting away and ahead of those people than by beating them up physically so that's why the song is a fantasy. |
