I totally agree with what all y'all said about it being about the devil(what a mean guy) and all his lies of deceit and stuff like that. It is a creepy song, and it is actually kinda scary, but still, i like to listen to it... *GOD Bless* |

I Love Thousand Foot Krutch, Project 86, Blindside, and a whole bunch of other CHRISTIAN bands!!! KEEP ROCKING FOR THE LORD!!! i disagree about what hansdude84 said. I think that is a really stupid thing he said about most Christian bands not being overtly Christian. TFK- Lift it-"I lifit it, lifit it up to YOU" trevor(vocals) is stating that he's lifting all his troubles up to GOD, asking for his help. "I surrender all of me" Trevor is saying hes giving his all to The LORD ALLMIGHTY(a.k.a. JESUS, GOD, CHRIST) POD, Southtown "I thank GOD that i made it alive" POD Satellite "As I look up to the sky today, i can see you lookin' down on me!" (looking, as in seeing him, not looking down on him as if hes worhtless, ) Blindside-Pitiful "As they hammered those nails through your beutiful hands, Your eyes they tried to search for mine, but i look away, now Your eyes are the only thing that can save me" The love that Jesus has for each and every one of us can save us, is the only thing that can save us. all we have to do is let him. we just need to ask him. Later, same song, it says "I remember every word you said, And this time i wont look away!" Hes realized that he needs Jesus in his live, to be saved. Dogwood-Do or Die "When it came to do or die, you died for me, though i will be nothing perfect, for human eyes to see. my hands are yours for works, my eyes will seek 'till i find you" Jesus died a painful death on the cross for each individual human even though none of us are perfect, we're far from perfect, even in the eyes of other humans. 'My hands are your for works' He's giving thanks to Jesus for dying, so he's going to use his hands(his abilitys) for the Glory of God, to spread his word, to spread GODs Love for each individual. Those are just a few examples of Christian bands thatcontradict your statment. Project 86 has many, POD has TONS more examples, Dogwood has more, Five Iron Frenzy has lots, Few Left Standing, I havent heard much of them, but they have some really good, Christian songs, same as Living Sacrifice, Underoath has some really nice lyrics. If you want more, go to solidstaterecords.com check the bands, and look up the lyrics here, Solid State has a lot of bands with sweet lyrics. i disagree about the "not overtly Christian" Christian bands statement. And i think this song is not about a girl... unless you take the fact that its directed to Jesus, who was born from a girl(Mary), but thats the only way that i can see a connection... |
