| Eww, ugly-girl. That's really not what I got from this song AT ALL. George Michael wrote this for a MAN, yes. It's not about pedophilia (or pederasty), it's about love. He isn't saying "father figure" in a literal sense. He means that he'll do even the impossible for this man. He'll become something that he isn't naturally, "If you are the desert, I'll be the sea." and he'll be accomidating to whatever need or want this other man has "Whatever you ask for, that's what I'll be." To me, this song has nothing to do with liking little kids. It's quite an ignorant view, even as a joke. Just because George Michael is gay doesn't mean he has any interest in those disgusting things. He's simply a man in love, and it's time we leave those subjects alone and let people love like the message in this song, 'I will do anything for you,' - no matter who it happends to be (OVER 18, of course. ;-) | |

Wow, I never knew she wrote it about her t.v. That's ironic because the song was played during a very romantic scene between the characters Willow and Tara on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And the last line: Maybe she added that to surprise people? Cuz you could take it either way.. |

| this song is describing basically a relationship where one person wants to let go of everything else and just be with that person but the other person is still thinking about other people and kind of ignoring the other until they need them. the person who is devoted feels trapped and basically just wants to get away. i think we've all had that kind of relationship before. | |
