surprised no one's tried to make this connection, yet: blue canary nitelite as Jesus. ooohhhhh! See, cause it's in the outlet by the lightswitch, so it shines on the lightswitch, so when the room is dark, you can find the switch. "I have a secret to tell It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells so the room must listen to me ... my story's infinite/it doesn't rest" sounds like a very jesus-y thing to say, to me so, the "picture opposite me" would be God in the Old Testament fashion, but jesus wouldn't do as seemingly wella job, because he had a more socratic teaching method, and would expect others to learn from Jason's mistake i seriously doubt TMBD had this in mind when writing it, but it makes one think, no? |

i play it and versions of it; the (slightly) more coherent and more fun ways are with writing sentences or short pragraphs/phrase groups at a time but that has little to do with the song |

it's not about deep meaning; the song is cryptic, with non-traditional imagery, so puzzling out a mundane meaning can be a challenge in and of itself. that's what people are speculating. (except for the snake-tail bits; they aren't in the song, though) and remember: rats live on no evil star |

i dislike insane christians. don't start jumping on me for saying all christians are insane. i didn't say that. i just said i don't like the insane ones. anyway, in all corey's writings/interveiws, he doesn't strike me as being one overly concerned with preaching the rapture and crucifiction. "i can hear you like the holy ghost" i love this line, partly for the ambiguocity of english. it could be read, "I hear you in the same manner as would the holy ghost" or "I hear you as if you were the holy ghost" so, yes, smart kids like slipknot, too |

Incubus does not suck although i kind of wish brondon did... :P in all likelihood, 10:24 is just a time someone involved in production of the video picked to make it creepy. and it is creepy, what with the apocalyptic dissappearances and all. so good job, person who was involved with video! |

maybe i'm the first guy to post on this, so i'll add to the general chorus: brandon is a hot beast. i wish he were gay/bi. (is he? pleeeease...) this song, like most of their songs, can sound much like a song song about relationships/life on first hearing, but having listened to Make Yourself and Morning View quite a lot since getting them, i get the sneaking feeling that they're not, necessarily. drugs, however, sound more reasonable |
