Yep, a concept album it certainly is, and as for the stupidness? Well, I see it as Wes Borlands way of showing he can do more than Limp Bizkit, to show how much (as he has admitted many times before) he hates working in that band. What better way for one of the worlds most popular guitarists to release the biggest pile of garbage he could, something that made the dumb Durst fans go "Uh!?"... What a great pile of garbage it is! |

| Yeah, it's got a great energy to it. As for the meaning, (I think) it's about everything that has happened since 9/11 (GJ coming from NY and all), and how damm scared people have been feeling about the subject of war since. It also looks at the horror of the atomic bomb, ("We found that ultimately you can make it snow in the summer/Summer's trudging closer and a flurry of white as well. It's the heart of nuclear winter and I'm scared as hell.") referring to how it snows ash after it's use. It also looks at the religious aspect of how we usually go to war because of our religion, and how were ordered by those higher than us to do the dirty work ("If a leader preaches worship to the sheep within the valley, Who'll be riding in a tank that says 'just married'?")... | |

Something about this song reminds me of a night war/battle, with innocent men, women and children watching. "In infrared is how we saw...", kinda' reminds me of the infrared/night vision clips of night war you see on the news frequently, "The night that lit up...", again, I can imagine beacons, explosives etc. I'm also getting the sense (If I'm correct), that it could have been some kind of operation that went wrong or "Fell flat on it's own face...". I might be wrong (Infact, I probably am), I dunno', but thats the feeling I get. |
