I heard Jim refer to the song as a "simple song about dancing" at a show once. I agree with BeccaBee that it is about trying to approach a girl but I think the "I don't seem obvious do I?" could be frustration after making a failed case. The "Oh won’t you dance with me a little bit? Oh you don’t notice, I guess the music’s too loud" followed by the "It's how the hustle goes" may give truth to my thought above. |
