I agree with everyone that was fans before the whole MTV thing. I too have been a fan since the FSF days, and it kind of urks me when little teeny boppers are running around quoting DBC songs. And they aren't doing it because they love Chris, or his music. They don't know what it's like to group or band or song so much cause it just coinsides with your life, the lyrics are so beautiful and heartfelt. No. They like him cause he's in the "Top 40 billboard." And cause Carson Daley mentions him on TRL. Screw TRL. Not too many good bands get on there anyway. And if it wasn't for his publicity, (which I'm glad that he's getting), he would still have nothing but his TRUE fans left. And I guarantee that not even HALF of the people that claim to be DBC fans would be left. So, when all of this "MuchMusic" and "MTV2" crap is all over, I know I'll still be following Chris' career. I don't know about you guys. Keep the music coming. (: |

i agree with rhcprule. there is noooo way you can compare the lead singing to Kurt Cobain. you've got to be smokin' crack!! he still has a freakin' good voice though. this is one of my favorite songs just cause i can blast it and scream along. not even sing along. such a catchy, catchy song. this song is by far my fav GC song... it reminds me of my ex peteR, cause he's the one that got me hooked on GC, and this was the first song he ever told me about, and i listened to it, and it made me so glad that i had him... but now it makes me so sad... "cause now you've gone away..." i've never loved anyone like that before and i assume i never will. that love consummed all of me and spit me up. now we are still really good friends, long after the fact, cause i was so bitter and wanted questions that couldn't be answered, answered... but i'd rather be a friend than nothing at all to him. we live really far away now, and i just wish there was a way we could be back together, but just as the song, all i have are my seasons. |
