Radiohead – How to Disappear Completely Lyrics 23 years ago
well, it's funny to read all of these opinions when i have actually read what thom york truly intended the song to mean, being an avid radiohead i find these things. but radiohead is filled with musical gods and if you're going to bash kid a then you truly do not understand music. and well, thom york did say that the entire song is about floating, which you can get the reference from the line "i float down the Liffey." the Liffey is a water mass in i believe ireland. now i suppose my interpretation of it before i came across this knowledge would have to be as blatent as the title of the song. i took this song as my sanctuary when all i wanted to do was hide from the terrors and people that surrounded me and came to pass me in this world and still, with thom's true interpretation, i see it as something similar. being that the song is about floating, floating is often something that people want to do when they disappear because it then gives them the ability to go where ever they please be it with people or on a deserted island. but, in any case, this song is an obvious display of sheer brilliance.
