Being in the reserves, this kinda hits home. Yes I may live a normal life back home, being a peaceful man and what not, but if someone says so then I have to go. I may not like it, and the leaders may be idiots, but I have to go. It's a disturbing duality. And the song is beautiful. Love the last verse... but still I march on gun in hand... |

Indeed. The riff building up to the end kicks ass. But what I think about this song is this: If you beleive in god, especially the christian god, means the you don't beleive in yourself; or you can't. We are only nothing if we ADMIT to being nothing. If god exists, of which there is no proof, then all the texts indicate the he is a small, petty creature, who created the human race for his own tortuous pleasure. We were put here on trial for being created, and depending on how strongly our parents programmed us into beleiving it, and if we were good, we would go to heaven. And the muslims will get a 100 virgins... Right... By promising us everything that was taught to us as a sin. Well, the destruction of knowledge is what ignorance is about, and ignorance comes from conformity, and religion is the ultimate level of conformity. I will not be apart of the virus, helping cast the world into the darkness of ignorance. I do have my own philosophy. God does hate us all. So FUCK him! |
