i just listened to this song for the first time in a long time. last time i was seein' blue blue skys. things are different now. i cried. it wasn't a sad cry though, or a happy one either. it was a "you dumbass, ya thought that would last forever didn't you" cry. whatever you out there do. always let love rule. |

to me this song is a reminder of how nothing ever stays the same. it came out right before i moved away from thomaston (one of the many places i've lived). the line "one last call for alcohol" is talking about enjoying your last moments of bliss because its all about to change...again. the "you dont have to go home part" says that you know that the next place you end up in wont be permanent either so you dont make friends so you wont have to leave them...again. to me its all about knowing that the good times dont last, the bad ones dont end and it's all the fault of the ones that call themselves adults just so they can act irresponsibly without punnishment. and guess who gets the bottom side of the fall. us, the ones THEY call immature. spydermunkie101 can go jump in a lake. |

im in the same boat as keith right now. that thing about the brit and americans was pure gold. i said this in another post and ill say it again. it doesn't matter what the song meant to the writer, no one has been in his shoes or knows exactly what he feels. what matters is what YOU feel when you hear the song. and once again dont tell people they're wrong even if they are. they suffer more for their sins if no one tells them they're wrong. |

alright. im gonna try and settle this war once and for all. i agree with a lot of you on more than one topic and disagree on a lot more. unless any of you are named Kurt Cobain, and have just been hiding out with Elvis you shouldn't "GUESS" what his songs mean. the next horde of ten year old preppies that read this will get the wrong meaning of what music itself is, then we got a lot of nsync jr.s on our hands. tell what the songs mean to you, not a damn person on earth can say what any song means to anyone, whether they wrote it or not. those feelings can't be put into words, and when you try to it is always misinterpretted. if the next britney spears song means nothing to her, (which it will because she doesn't write them) but has a meaning to you, its still shit. if it means something to the writer, whether he likes it afterwards or not, it is a good song. just because Kurt didn't like the fact the teen spirit got him attention doesn't mean he didn't like the song before that happened, or after. as far as getting long, we should disagree, it makes us smarter, stronger, and more open minded. just dont get too involved or personal. i dont have a favorite nirvana song. i can tell you that i will never listen to 99x again. it a radio station here in atlanta. www.99x.com. the first thing i heard them say this morning is that puddle of mud is the next Nirvana. that stereo got a stiff bare foot through the window. all have to say to biteme is the first rule in arguing. its latin for at the man. dont attack the person. attack their statements. anyone ever tell you when bush sr.s campaign started going downhill. this webiste isn't a place to sit around and flame over what an artist meant by a song. i can do that with my cat. tell what the song means to YOU. and as to that 12 year old who said he knew more about nirvana and what song was their best. you were 4 the year Kurt died you little pric. go somewhere where you know something about the topic. to the rest of you, fight the good fight, down with pop. thats not an opinion either. when you sing a song someone else wrote for you, its not music. |

they put this song on a limited number of CDs and the rest dont have it. mine doesn't, but i'd be suprised at how much i'd pay for one that does. i just like the words. im fixing to get the song off of KaZaA. if you go to www.songlyrics.com and type nirvana lyrics and go to the algonet page it has the words to every song all on one page. so if you want to make a book you can just hit print once. thats what i did. as to the meaning of this song to me its just something i chant to turn heads. love. music. there is no distinction |
