Ozma – Rocks Lyrics 23 years ago
Indeed.

He found the person [girl?] he was looking for. The searching process was him skipping rocks-- and since he found it [her?], he will never [search] again.

Ozma – Los Angeles Lyrics 23 years ago
The song is self-explanatory and really couldn't be any more litteral, although I am not denying if there is another meaning to it above the listeners..

Daniel Brummel likes Los Angeles. He doesn't want to leave, but he must, and this is why he scrambles to find a wa to try to forget about Los Angeles, as seen by the lyrics pasted below:

i've got to find some way out of here
jump on a plane and i disappear
maybe east of ohio
maybe that's where i ought to go

East of Ohio...that's referring to just getting far away from Los Angeles, but there must be a sure reason why he chose Ohio..

Ozma – No One Needs To Know Lyrics 23 years ago
Let's try not to mention a 'Ozma is like Weezer' related-subject ever again. I don't mean to be a [butthead], but it's getting tiresome, and the fact of the matter is, Ozma has many key ingredients Weezer doesn't.

...and I don't see the TMBG part.

The Song: Paranoia of the speculation of one's relationship. Being with a girl, people being too nosey about it, really. I guess pretty much just what has already been said..

Ozma – Battlescars Lyrics 23 years ago
No, it isn't on MTV, and let's all pray none of their material will EVER air on MTV.

As for the song.. Battlescars and another song (ahh, my superhero senses are failing me, but I'd bet on Shooting Stars) are actually brother/sister songs. They both are written based on the same train of thought, which has a war theme to it, particularly of a soldier coming back from the war..

Butterfingers – Wet Blanket Lyrics 23 years ago
Firstly, a forewarning: I look at things pretty shallow and litteral.

Okay, now as for the song lyric. I have been listening to this song (The Butterfingers in general) for a little over a year now. I can say this song is one of theirs in particular that I like. With that being said, I have always pictured this song as the writer looking back on a summer day in appreciation-- if you'll notice, the lyrics strongly hint on a beautiful, idealy-summer day.

Errr, to simplify that, it's the lyricist (Emmet?) in retrospect, particularly looking back on some certain times and especially of times with a certain someone-- likely a family member or girlfriend.

Local H – Bound For The Floor Lyrics 23 years ago
No reason to ride the horse is you're just going to get kicked off. "Bound for the Floor," that's talking about constantly falling short-- falling to the floor, one could say. "What good is confidence" is just a little reminder about what good the effort would be to put into [life in general?].
