the riff is SO not the same as brain stew, if any song has the same riff as brain stew its 'last resort' by papa roach. this one of my favourite songs
Papa Roach's Last Resort sounds nothing like Green Day's Brain Stew unless you're referring only to the bass line, because they are nearly exact. The guitar part is definitely different. Brain Stew is simply the same barre power chords played over and over again whereas Last Resort is played with pedal tones. They also have different chords as well. :P |

I thoroughly enjoyed this song. It is a definite change from Slipknot's material. I'm a fan of Slipknot, but my favorite songs by them are the ones in which Corey actually sings, i.e.: Left Behind, Tattered and Torn, etc. When I first heard about Corey doing a solo song with he himself on guitar as well as vocals, I was originally skeptical, but I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. This song has become a personal favorite and I've gotten people hooked on it as well. |
