All I got to say is, last yr for my big english creative piece I wrote a piece about a girl who runs away from home to travel the country by hitchhiking and gets murdered, and I used the quote ...And the earth becomes my throne I adapt to the unknown Under wanderering stars I've grown By myself but not alone I ask no one ...the marker of my essay said the quote was "extremely relevant to the theme of the story"... now im sure she doesn't listen to Metallica, hell she hasn't even read the whole song(!) but I agreed with her.(which is why I used the quote?!) I think this song is about just leaving everything behind and travelling the road and leaving your life in the hands of fate.... that's my personal opinion anyway. |

| it gives me goosebumps!!! I agree with the whole "animal instinct" theory, and this song portrays it really well because there's something about it that makes the listener want to run around and to crazy sh!t... Love it! Excellent song, my fave on the album. | |

it's such a great song. One of my fave's on the album. No fuck that cus all the songs on the album are excellent! I thought Calafornication couldn't be beaten, but then out came by the way! as for this song... I think it's kinda about life as a whole. that sounds strange but you know.. it just sums it up. Life.
