i agree with you caspirella. it's hard when people won't be trusting or open and honest with you when you are in a relationship with them. it hurts worse when you find out their feelings, intentions, and promises weren't true when yours were. you want to remain friends with them because you really care about them, but if they aren't feeling it then it's better to live and let live. love hurts! but it's better to love then not to at all! |

well.... i'll say that this song is about a girl who got pregnant and had an abortion. her religion is probably against abortion and that is why her parents acted the way they did. the guy is most likely the boyfriend and he isn't too happy about the abortion but he will do anything for her and offers to marry her because he loves her and will take care of her. it's a pretty realistic song that i'm sure many can relate to. |

well... i'd say it's about a guy who had a girl who he loved and wanted to be with forever, but at somepoint they broke up and he was crushed. now she wants to come back into his life as a friend because they were probably best friends too.... he considers it but can't deal with that because nothing can ever be the same and old memories would haunt him and it's too far gone. she was his shimmer but she faded when they broke up and he doesn't want to go through that again.... good song! |

i love this song! i've only heard it a few times before... but after hearing it in the movie Black Hawk Down... i've listened to it every day. What it means... well... it's pretty obvious! i'm sure you've been suspiciuos at least once when a girl/boyfriend talks or goes out with a friend of the opposite sex. but what he is trying to get across is that he loves his girl and wants her to trust him that she is the only one he wants to be with. they can't have a good relationship if she doesn't trust him when he talks to others. |

i'm sure everyone who has been in a relationship can hold different memories to this song. it means to me that there is a girl in this guys life who he loves but she is stuck on memories from a past relationship of someone who she loved but lost and can't get passed. he wants to be all she needs but they have to talk about their relationship because he feels it falling apart and can't believe her intentions for him cause she is too hung up on the past... so he would rather be free then in a relationship that he thought was everything but was nothing at all. SO.... basically we should forget about our past heartaches and focus on the person we are with now. there was a reason that the other relationship didn't work. you will miss out on a good thing if your head is stuck up your butt! |
