mountain ranges morning-red bathed ridges stab up at the trembling blue horizon grey slides lazily off rooftops lands on the incandescent ground and dies a flock of littlemen touch down on the thin surface of porchlight dawn's footsoldiers return to march twilight across our faces skylights ignite and explode, scattering shards of april around the room but noone even lives here we're too busy crashing our cars every morning in the same house, paving the same roads unwilling to walk them and even when we extend ourselves, its only to be included in a moment that stands still so often we don't struggle to improve conditions, we struggle for the right to say "we improved conditions" and so often we form communities, only to use them as exclusionary devices we forget that somewhere a man is beside himself with grief somewhere people are calling for teachers, and noone is answering somewhere a man stands, walks across the room, and breaks his nose against the door and somewhere these people are keeping a record, writing a book for now we can call it the book about the basic flaw or the book about the letter a or any title the book about a man that noone cares about would have and as we turn the page we call out the sounds of nothing the sounds of a vanishing alphabet standing here waiting i'm sick of looking at these wrong lyrics. these are the right lyrics. amazing song about society and the pawns we have become. |

| Saves the Day – Handsome Boy Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| dont tell me anyone is serious by thinking this song has anything to do w/ sexuality. chris is just showing how he sees other people and he wishes he could be more like them, or they have something that he wants. its more about being insecure. if he wanted to make a song about being bisexual, his lyrics are straight forward enough that i think everyone would know, plus, who gives a shit. good song, great band. | |
| Senses Fail – Dreaming A Reality Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| jetblack05, i completely agree. while senses fail is a decent band, enjoyable to listen to, they have done nothing for music the way thursday has. between thursday's instrumentals and lyrics, senses fail will never be able to hold a candle them. senses fail is another typical drive-thru band, fun to listen to, put on a good show, but when it comes to making new and innovative music, they just dont have it. maybe they will, but apparently they are a little too blinded with their ex, not noticing the much larger problems in the world that thursday addresses time and time again in such poetic and pleasing music. but senses fail is enjoyable, i'll give them that, and this song is one my favorite by them. | |
| Matchbook Romance – Save Yourself Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| i played this song w/ some friends of mine in the winter. we decided its possibly one of the best songs, ever. from the drum beat in the beginning, to the second guitar work, and awesome singing. its just awesome. the lyrics, self-explanatory, are awesome, and the whole song is just a piece of art. | |
