This song reminds me of my friend Mary. I've been through so much and she's always been there for me to help me. She's never let me down. She means so much to me. I think this song could be interpereted in different ways. It could be about a special person like a best friend, or the person he loves. This person could have been there for him through thick & thin and helped me. They never let him down. It also sounds like it is about God. God would never leave you alone or let you go. He'll always be there to pick you up when you're down...which is what this "anchor" in the song does. |

The songs mean something different for everybody. Don't bash someone because the meaning they get from the song is a religious meaning. If you think the song is about something else then post what you think the song is about. But what is the point in bashing everyone for what they think and what they believe in? I think this is a great song and Creed is a great band. I believe the song is about Scott Stapp, and I also believe there are many references to God in this song. But that is just an opinion. Feel free to disagree. But why bash me because I get something religious out of the song? And VoiceOfKATAR, I think you need some serious help and I will pray for you. |
