| V Shape Mind – Chameleon Wars Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| hes building up an army for a war that changes with its surroundings, which i think nods to the boring, uninspiring music industry, not to mention entertainment in itself. | |
| V Shape Mind – Glitches Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| either hes talking about how the industrial world is trying to seem innocent yet theyre secretly talking over, or how everything is growing and increasing rapidly and hes just trying to throw in a glitch, bring it all down. | |

|
sure....not a problem. read this paragraph from an interview with Chevelle during their first cd. Criticized by conservatives, embraced by many Christians, and supported by rock enthusiasts in all walks of life, there probably isn't a band more entrenched in the "are they/aren't they?" debate than Chevelle. Given the "Christian band" label the moment their Squint Entertainment debut Point #1 hit store shelves, the band of brothers acquired the title by default, not necessarily because they wanted to. "It's something that's probably going to follow us around forever and that's fine," drummer Sam Loeffler once told Entertainment Insiders. "It's pretty simple. We originally signed with a record company that was backed by Word [Records], so the record was in Christian bookstores. It was really an accidental thing." heres the interview if you want a better look: http://www.christianitytoday.com/music/glimpses/2004/thistypeofthinking.html ;) |

| Chevelle – Get Some Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
or maybe THE american idol, george w. bush. but thats just a tied-in meaning, i dont think its the intended one. |
|
| Chevelle – Still Running Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Id say he wants our leader to end this war...but thats just me. | |
| Chevelle – Vitamin R (Leading Us Along) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
generally this song [like every chevelle song] means a lot. its specifically about Ritalin, yes, but they didnt just make a song about drugs for no reason. This cd is trying to get you to push your mind a little futrher, discover some deeper meanings. Today to us, this song means the general american public is very desensitized to whats really going on. Not just in politics, but they can get you to believe just about whatever they want you to, by feeding you a 'perscription' of news, music, and however else they feel they gain control. I wont deny this song is about Ritalin, as it obviously is, but look a little deeper into the words. |

| Chevelle – To Return Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
this song is just moving, so melodic. love all the voicework. i still say it's about American soldiers in some way, but it has a very general meaning. |
|
| Chevelle – Tug-O-War Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Again...an allegory to the attacks on iraq. | |
| Chevelle – Another Know It All Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I dont know, but the more i read these lyrics I see so much tying into George W. Bush and all the political shit. | |
| Chevelle – Panic Prone Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
they never were a christian band...thats a misconception. check your sources ;) this song frickin rules, sort of one of those moments where you have to decide to care about something or move on...help those in need or look past them to the end of the line. Again, I see so many war references to George W. Bush [makes the 'bastard' remark make sense] and Iraq...its great. |
|
| Chevelle – Breach Birth Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Another amazing piece of a masterpiece. I absolutely love everything about this song. It's all about the world of music, and how its all stuck in certain molds by how others conform them. Theyre begging people to get out there and reshape our world, break out of the molds. I also love how they say they are already so far beyond many other bands, once you really get into chevelle you understand this song. |
|
| Chevelle – Emotional Drought Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Hell yes. This song is true Chevelle talent. I just love how every word is reinforcment to stand up for yourself and dont let those in charge take away our freedoms. This is so inspiring for people to go out and reinspire others...and to just push yourself beyond the borders of limited thought. But more specifically, I totally see references to disatisfaction with the current state of the US Government. |
|
| Chevelle – Bend The Bracket Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Id say its basically about Bush and America[us] invading Iraq. but more generally it can mean a lot of things, just like every Chevelle song. | |
| KoЯn – Did My Time Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| the lyrics posted by colossus are almost correct, except for one word. before the choruses, it should be 'tame' instead of 'change'. otherwise great job, you have exactly what i transcribed, except for i put (its burning in me) on the third lines of the last two choruses. | |
| Tool – Parabola Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| rog27's post basically descrivbes this song, and how empowering and alluding it is. the reassurance that the pain is just your body, and that your soul can easily overcome it. one day, your soul will be free if you let it. | |
| Tool – Undertow Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| some of you are on the right track, but most have no idea what tool is talking about. i love tool, because they make little people like you ponder on these meanings, when if you wanted to, you could just go find them out for yourself. eightball, good job, you realized that it isnt about drugs. tool wants you to believe what they do focuses on drugs, so they can laugh at you. the truth, they hate drugs. this song, Undertow, i can tell is actually talking about Tool being in the astral dimension, by projecting there, this must have been when they first started to astral project. astral is such a beautiful place, it pulls you in, and when you come back into the physical dimension, you want to go back, and you feel like you are always on your knees. when you die, your soul stays in the astral world, which is why tool says 'why dont you kill me'. this is just tool trying to say how shitty our world as we know it is, and how much more comfortable astral is. dialate your pineal. | |
| Tool – Merkaba Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this also has to do with astral Projection again, like the end of the parabola video. the eyes flowing through his body is the energy you feel when you are completely relaxed and let your mind pull the energy to your head, those things that open up in the body, are called chakras, when you feel them open, they release even more energy. you third eye is a chakra, once it reaches there, you can expand from your body. it is an OBE technique. merkaba is telling more about it, coming right out ad telling that we are immortal, when we die, our souls live in the astral dimension, and can reincarnate if desired, but never usually is desired, as the astral is a beautiful place. sense your pineal glad, open your chakras, shed your beliefs. | |
| Tool – Faaip de Oiad Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| tool wouldnt sing about this shit if they didnt believe it to be true. it is also rumored that the 10% of the population will be people that develop 2 more chromosomes, to make 48, and evolve as a race. (the song Fourty Six & Two is about this) it all makes sense, cant you see our world ending any day now? i can. and i believe next spring, it will. so, go deep inside yurself to expand, may i suggest to try astral projection. sense your pineal gland, and find the future. | |
| Tool – Lateralus Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| that lesson, can be found with astral projection. id look into it if i were you, chino69. tool projects, and in the astral dimension, they are Arcane. to read more about it go here, http://www.astralvoyage.com/ the one who is lost is yourself, for i have found, i now see the truth, while you are still blind. | |
| Disturbed – Remember Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| i love this song, this one, prayer, darkness, kikASS | |
| Tool – Aenema Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| IN A NUTSHELL, instead of reading all that, this song once again, ties into the AEnema factor, (to Enema your Anima, or to shed your old self and become superiour to the rest. This song is showing Maynard doing just that, to the city everyone loves, and telling its future, that California will be completely under water someday soon, starting with LA. than the destruction or our race will begin, and humans will be forced to evolve, and AEnema. | |
| Tool – Reflection Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| tool does not sing about love, compassion, or sex, people, that is only their illusion. this song, as i posted unter Disposition, is about a tree, that doesnt want to go back thru the circle of life by entering the ground again, but wants to become a higher consiousness, and leave its physyical self, and it also ties into us, wanting to become free and to evolve, before its too late. Project into the astral, and dialate the pupil of your eye. | |
| Tool – Lateralus Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| okay, stop guessing, and see the truth. this song is, again, about Astral Projection. the entire meaning behind Lateralus is about leaving this shithole of a world and letting your soul become free from your body, by projection. If you over analyze, you see the truth, that the new dimension is real, and the physical world is whats fake. Release the energy from your Chakras, open your third eye, and see the truth, Lateralus is about spiraling away from the Physical and one by one, entering the true bliss of the other dimensions. | |
| Tool – Parabola Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| if all you people wold like to stop gessing now, and open your third eye to see what the song is REALLY about, ill tell you. This song was written purely about Astral Projection. It is a meditation technique used to have your soul leave your body and project itself into the astral world, and awa from the physical world. One of the pre-projection techiniques requests you to relax 100%, and feel the energy flow up through your feet, and pass all the chakra's, until it reaches your head, then you will be able to leave your physical self. The chakras are loated betwwen the genitals and the anal, right below the belly button, about 5 inches above the belly button, next to the heart, in the throat, and, the most important chakra, is the Third Eye, which is the chakra that you can actually feel open wide and feel yourself become more creative and origianal. As you feel the energy flowing through you, as it passes each chakra, you must feel the chakra open up and release more energy, to add as it flows upward through your body, when the third eye opens, all your energy is released at the final chakra, on the top of your head. This song is about wanting to be able to stay in the astral dimension, and not to return to the phyisical, by seeing that after we die, we go to astral, and we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion, i am not alone in this body holding me. pry open your third eye. | |
| Tool – Disposition Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| i think this song is about a tree, lonely, watching the weather change all its years over, and then realizing death may be closer than he thinks, for his forest is being chopped down, and he needs to tell the other trees to become themselves, before they pine away, in reflection, and in triad, it is the tree parting its physical self. In relation to humans, it means, those who communicate with one another, will evolve, those who dont, will pine away. I also think this song still ties into Astral Projection. | |
| Tool – Disposition Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this song is about the life of a tree, i typed a huge explanation but it got deleted, i will type more about it later. | |
| Tool – Disposition Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Well, fuck, i hate computers, i just typed a whole bunch of shit, and this mac i am on fucking deleted it all, im pissed | |
| Tool – Triad Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| i saw this concert in Minneapolis on Sept. 4th, it was truly amazing, a life-changing expierence. Tool has so much complexity and art. Their live show blew me away. I loved when they played the Disposition-Reflection-Triad lineup. When they got to Triad, WOW, it was fucking amazing. The song itself lasted at least 15 minutes, with two samplers and two extra drummers, that brought out two-tom sets on a stand. Some members were from Tomahawk, and it was some of the best drumming I have ever heard. They made this song 3 times as good, as they did with all their songs, which is amazingly hard to believe if you hear the CD's. Tool is the best live band, and Maynards lyrics combined with these othe three geniuses, its an amazing show. Tool: BEST BAND EVER. keep your third eye open | |
| Tool – Faaip de Oiad Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| okay, this song has got to be real, i understand this guy called it in and a few days called back telling it was an ellaborate prank? while, the website for Art Bell mentions nothing of this, and if someone did call back, id expect it to be a government employee hired for the job to call the station and tell it was a prank call to keep it all under control. it makes perfect sense. it isnt possible to do that to a radio station, like he did, for 2 min. of static. What i tihnk happened, this guy had it planned to call them up, he told them what was going on, when the govenment heard this they shut the radio station off till it was under control, then the government took care of him. and arranged it to be known as only a prank call. Tool recognized this and decided to put it on the end of this CD, and make it even eerier, which they DID, wow, i love this song. The Voice of God reference must be a symbol, saying that if we were to hear the voice of god, we would all be so freaked out, and that is what this does to us. KEPP YOUR THIRD EYE OPEN! ;-) | |
| Tool – Forty Six & 2 Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| woah, that freaks me out, i mean, i really feel superior to our race, i have my third eye open, and shit, and now, they say that the world will end next sping, and my birthday is on 03/03/03, what if that is the chosen day? hmmmm... o well we will see what happens | |
| Tool – Sober Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this song is obviously a lot like most tool songs, i see it is obvious now that i think about it. like in fourty six & 2, he is talking about leaving his shadow behind and free himself to add on 2 more chromosomes, and become the third level of consiousness. and like in parabola he is saying the body is only a suit for our souls, and our souls can expand the leave the shadow behind. i understand sober was mainly written for an artist that could work very well while intoxicated, but i think maynard in this song is saying once again why cant we just all evolve, or see the world with your third eye open. He is saying "WHY cant we not be sober" as a reference that we need to all start to open our third eye. He also talks about his shadow again in this song, which right there tells he wants to enter the third level. He just wants to start things over, just become another race. He is also saying, Jesus, Mary, whistle/whisper something, now that all that shit has passed him, and wont phase him one bit, but he is asking them to please push us in the right direction, which is ironic since they are not even real, i love the sarcasm he uses. So, lose your sober feeling, your sobriety in god, and realize the truth. With your third eye open, see what tool sees. | |
