Tommy James And The Shondells – Crimson and Clover Lyrics 17 years ago
So it's a synesthesia response to love at first sight? I like that concept. A lot.

I lost my mom and this song took on new meaning. Helpless in the hospital. Her face lost its familiar shape. She fought for life, for air. How do I function but compartmentalize and push forward?

Beirut – The Penalty Lyrics 18 years ago
I do believe it's about going out on your own. The last part about "rueing the day," however, speaks to me about the regret of a parent's child returning to the nest instead of fulfilling his or her destiny... I also see a bit of mortality in the parents. The family doesn't wait and dies... and the child mourns...

Matson Jones – A Little Bit Of Arson Never Hurt Anyone Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song sounds like a mix between the band 27 and the band rasputina. It's a viciously simple song. I mean, look at the lyrics. they have a bite.

Joel sent me this song. And it's so psychotically right. It made me feel good. Now I'm going to clean up the blue room.

Duncan Sheik – Bite Your Tongue Lyrics 23 years ago
This song to me is about someone who thought they knew it all... who had a bunch of opinions on the truth, but didn't quite hit home... and she clung to ever ideal and wouldn't let go. It kinda describes the way I can be. More than me, it describes my friend. No one is ever right... and maybe she needs to hit the ground. At least I know when to stop... when to bite my tongue.
