this song's awesome, and i think it's father, not mother, i might be wrong though. it's about when a punk kid moves out and he can be himself(duh) and he doesnt' have to worry about what his parents think. i can kind of relate to this song, but my parents aren't too bad. it reminds me more of my best friend, his are fucking assholes. |

i think punkrockAFI is right, cuz in the video, it shows a bunch of kids attacking an ice cream truck. it doesn't seem like the song is about that though, but it could be about getting revenge. |

this song is awesome. it's pretty self explanatory, really. my favorite part is "in a world without leaders, who'd start all the wars?" and it's saying although america is supposed to be a democracy, the people don't really control the country. |

this song is awesome, i like the line "is it truly me that's to be the human blasphemy?" it's saying people are ignorant fucks and think someone is evil just because they're different, i think every punk, goth, etc. can relate to this song. the rest of the song kicks ass too.

i think this song is about pergatory, and being in between heaven and hell. Davey is "waiting by the stairs" to heaven, but he is alone, and he is afraid he will never get into heaven.
" Do I hear the hollow sound, footsteps resounding on this frozen ground, or the familiar disappointment of the echoes of my own?"
he thinks someone has come for him, and he is not alone, but he realizes it was just his own footsteps, and he has felt this way many times before.
"there is always the comfort of knowing i'll never be seen when i fall"
he knows that if he falls into hell, no one will see him.
"i wait for just one touch. and i fall weightless, endless, faithless"
he eventually loses his faith in god and himself, and he fades away, longing to just once feel the touch of heaven before he falls. |
