I saw it on SNL, and now i am addicted to radiohead. them playing live this song it fuckin blew me away, the singer is a crazy genious of sorts... i think it sounds better live than it does on the album version. |

BWHAHAHAHAHHAHA "this song is about their days playing at the phoenix" fuck that shit. this song is about an old ass holiday entitled: "The Days of the Phoenix" it occurs in august and is celebrated by very very few people. perhaps it is slightly related to some place called the phoenix but i think it is pure coincidence that they played there. if you doubt my words, look up the days of the phoenix on any search engine and u will find weird info about dolls and wax and all kinda bullshit. enjoi. |

my interpretation: he was freakin it up with some girl and her dad walked in on them. he is tryin to flee the scene and her dad freaks out and punches his daughter cuzz hes mega-pissed. so the guy is pissed off cuzz his girl got punched and flips out and beats the shit out of the dad (with a bat?).... who knows fenix tx are some crazy mothafunkers |
