| I love gc, but this song is disappointing. It's not what i expected from them and it doesnt sound like them. It's a little too poppy (not that they were ever hardcore punk). Maybe it'll grow on me though, and hopefully the rest of the album is better than this song. It's not horrible though. | |

| in my opinion this is one of the most bitter and hateful songs ever, but it is SO good. one of the first saves the day songs i really listened to and i fell in love with the lyrics. they're almost morbid in a way, and so descriptive. my fav line is " buy you lemonade right now, if you were here. then i'd throw it in your face and i'd listen to you cry" all the saves the day songs i can picture in my mind happening and thats what so great about them | |

i love this song. the whole imagery of him cutting out his own eyes because he thinks it will make someone want him more is... i dunno but its really incredible. sometimes he writes lyrics about accepting yourself for what you are and then other times, he writes that he do anything to be accepted. and i think thats whats kinda cool abouts saves the day. all their songs are full of all these crazy contradictions, that in the end, make perfect sense. one of my favorite lines in this song is "So come at me with your moon and burn me in the stars". just an amazing song all around. |
