Im not a religious guy but from what I get form the song is its an arguement with oneself about religion "if I have no soul to touch / no heart to love /no evil to rise up above / no angels and no ghosts / no real victories to toast / if you believe that this is true / then I must ask / to what end do you proceed" Of you dont believe in something (god in this case, i suppose) than why do you live. He tries to make a case for his beliefs.
But anyone whats important is how unfreakinbelievably great this song is. I mean, aint it awesome? |

When I first started to try to understand what the song meant I thought that it was about Dave asking the deceased Kurt for help. "Help me burn out bright" Just like in Kurts note. "looking to the sky to save me" Seeking help from his former band mate. |

Thats not a law in all places. It is a law in Washinton DC amung other places, but not everywhere. Theres all sorta crazy laws, line oral sex is outlawed in places too. Thats what you get when you have a government as greedy and fickle as the American government. |

Thursday is quite possibly the best band I have ever heard of in my entire life. Full Collapse is such a great CD. AFI is also really good. But At The Drive-In is still the best heavy punk band out there. |

I love dumb people. Isn't it funny how sic says that blink-182 is meaningless crap (Good thing he/she has ever listened to Adam's Song or Stay Together...) right after saying something about how the writer of this song didn't put that much thought into it. Yes, thats what good songwriters do, think. Try it sometime. |

NOFX did it, Letters to Cleo did it (SUCKED HARD, NOT A GOOD COVER AT ALL), and Propagandi also did it. The song, like I against I said was origianally done by cheap trick, thats the best verson yet in my opinion. |
