hey youaremyinsanity - just because you draw from the bible doesn't mean that you can't think for yourself. i think it takes a lot of insight to understand something you read well enough to write a song about it. "a living dance upon dead minds" includes lots of excerpts from an e.e. cummings poem; that doesn't mean that dustin ripped off the ideas. he probably understood them enought to agree with them. |

I completely agree that this is the best song from Tidal. I think it's about someone really important to her that doesn't understand her. Because of that, she's let down. My explanation can't do it justice of course, because I feel like I'm totally simplifying it. Beautiful, ethereal song. |

This is a great expression of what it's like to be a teenager. Stupid, confused, denied, different...and the "entertain us" part sounds like it's about our culture. We're all just kind of waiting for someone to stimulate us (or for someone to turn on the tv or give us a video game) so we can be entertained. |

This song is really cool - I think it's about coming to terms with God. As in, accepting that you can have faith without knowing everything, because that's what faith is about. |
