I think this song relates to Pvt. Blithe in Band of Brothers, and not just him but the whole idea of war and being a soldier. I just realized this is a lot like what happens to him, how he goes blind and like when he is in his foxhole and he is screaming NOOOO!!, scared and stuff, he gets up and kills a guy. How it escalates at the end to admitting he is a killer, how Blithe realizes what he is supposed to do and be as a soldier.If you see Bastogne you will catch my drift. Just another viewpoint. |

first, they arent getting paid shit for this cd, second i think this songs about sex, third, whoever says they sold out is a loser. the only reason their songs are so different is because they had a better studio to fuck around with. and whoever says they deserve money, fuck you too, they dont want money, they want to reach their fans, i've been to a lot of their concerts and only had to pay about 12 bucks |

jaymatthew, shut the hell up, davey makes his songs to express his views of everything. all artists do it, but some aren't as "in depth" as others. and its our jobs as listeners to ponder what they mean, because when we do that, it makes us see things differently. what i think this song means is the point of view of the people in Iraq. Leaving, so alive, but force to return. The stars could represent bombs and the real stars are masked with smoke. and now the growing of hatred will kill us all. he thinks he is the only one who knows it. |
