this song is so amazing. it's by far my favorite saves the day song. well, i don't know if i can have a favorite std song .. because i like them all, but "ups and downs" is definitely my save the day song of the week. .. by looking at the lyrics, i'd think they were about hanging yourself .. but i dunno. there's probably much more to them than that. i'd love to be able to just ask chris himself .. because i hate assuming that the song was about that, but this is emo music, and it's supposed to have that sad, depressed mood to it, you know. but all in all, the lyrics are beautiful. *applause* |

great song, great band. this song is definitely something special because i know that in my area, and most likely in lotsa other people's areas that punks/emokids/rockers in general are a minority and it really sucks that some people have to look down on others just because of the music they listen to or the way they chose to dress. basically, all it is is hating somebody for just being themselves, and that's wrong. *sigh* i hate society.
oh, and one more thing. is there a cd that this song was on? i'm very curious because this song and "eleven," two of my fave. tbs songs aren't on "tell all your friends" and i was just wondering where they came from. .. |

this is by far my favorite lagwagon song. why? i can relate so much to this song. i can't say how many times it's felt like a relationship i'm in is going great .. and then it just turns .. bad. like a bad love story. it's like my theme song. i think joey did a really great job writing these lyrics. and [onemorebrokenheart,] you did a nice job of explaining the lyrics because i think the song's about all that as well, and i also think everyone's been in those shoes before ... well, i know i have. |
