I like the song. This song was written by grace slick's brother in law Darby Slick after his girlfriend had left him. In the first verse it's talking about how when the truth about the love you thought was there was deceptive and not true and is now getting you down. In the second verse is when your all your hope has died "when the garden flowers are dead"and now your mind is filled with heartache and betrayal and it's basically saying for all of that tribulation over the love that you aren't getting instead you should try to give love and not lament over what you think your not receiving. |
