This song is about a person realizing they're losing themself, self reflecting(in third person)/yearning for happier memories/times in life, and trying to get the strength to pull through the dilemma and return to the sunshine byway of their inner voice encouraging them not give up on the dreams, hopes, and promises they made to themself. Hence the last line, "Please bring her back and let me talk just one more time but it's too late the last exhale is mine". The last line was a plot twist and confirmed my interpretation was correct. Also, in the album pamphlet, near the credits for the song it says, "I never want to lose myself." |
