| OK, here's how I see it. Sylvia's mother wants her daughter to be happy, and the joker trying to call has messed Sylvia about so much that her mother is not letting him talk to her. Indeed, as Sylvia comes into the room her mum pretends she's talking to someone else. Good for her. And if I was Sylvia's father I'd probably go round to this bloke and have a quiet word with him about the inadvisability of his ever trying to phone his child again, and to suggest that in future he treats women with respect. | |
