Based in my experience trips with LSD generally, create visions full with colors explosions, spheres pulsating movements, rapid flashes of colors, suggesting space travels and Syd was attracted by this thematic, remember that he composed "Interstellar Overdrive", another space theme. The lyrics were a means to Syd describe those space travels and like them are just simply amazing and have no correlation. As a side note Syd was like a genius to a 13 year boy listening for the first time such rich music and that boy was me 42 years ago. Thank you Syd. RIP |
