This song reminds me of all the stuff that I went through with my own mother- I keep the second to last verse written on the outside of my messenger bag. The “forget about me” really hits- because it genuinely some good advice, but there’s an implication there that the person is saying that because they know that they’re not good for anyone. Saying “leave me, because I will hurt you and I’m already being self destructive.” But Kimya won’t let them go. |

I feel like the singer in this song has an inherent self-loathing to them- they’re passively suicidal, as seen by the fact that they’re perfectly fine with being hit by a truck, as long as their love is with them. They feel trapped both by their inability to confess and by the fact that their home life is so awful- like they “want to see people and want to see light” but are currently in a state of limbo where anything could happen, and the possibilities are still waiting for them. |

I feel like this might be about a person who is leading themselves on a path of self destruction- isolating themselves instead of letting themselves be “held” by other people or rely on them. She wants them to “come back” and be present with her so that they don’t ruin themselves. |
