You can interpret this two ways. In one way, you can interpret this in a secular sense, that death is just succumbing to eternal void and no final judgement. An alternate way could be the soul's descent into hell. Phrases like "no final judgement, your paradise declined" and "a fear you surrender to" can evoke ideas of one's soul not entering heaven, but instead a descent into hell. The band is not known for being necessarily religious, so the second meaning is a bit dubious. |
