We think our identity comes from inside, that we create our own. This song questiones that idea. Where does it really come from? Why did that girl cut herself? Was it a human urge, or did she do it for fame? Would she have done it if she hadnt read about it? This song resonates with a lot of my (are they really mine though?) thoughts. Living in a world where it feels like everything has already been done and everything has a label. It is hard to create or recognize ourselves. How do we distinguish ourselves from what has been imposed on us by society and by what we consume? Did you do it before you read about it? Nothing is orginal. That, for me, is the reason why i want to create art |
