Talks alot about feeling rough, "flu" "bad head" probably comparing someone to a hangover/ill feeling. Doesn't want to argue because it never ends in an agreement, feels kinda pointless even talking anymore. Bit depressing really, shows a cycle of nothing but arguments and cold shoulders "well you knew as much" shows the repetition in behaviour. - going back to the hangover point, that would make sense because of the euphoria relationships have to offer usually crash in tragedy once that high is over. This is comparable to drinking because after, instead of peace you're left with a "badhead". |

There's only been one performance of this song that we know of so far, damon at the start mentions he wrote the song in 1992 (hence the name) yet didn't release it till the album 13. The song is a metaphor of regret and possibly about being replaced by something, "you'd like my bed, you took the other instead", bed could be an indication of comfort and his comfort not being chosen for whatever reason
