I think Robert Smith loves Caterpillar heavy equipment and their ability to change the surface of the earth, which he, for some reason, has attributed to be a girl (Mother Earth?) He is afraid nobody will operate the bulldozer if he goes on a lunch break and gets lost in the bathroom. Well, that's what I get out of the song. |
