since no one here has a meaning i will share mine (im a bit ass at theorizing): this song could mean revenge, wrath. (perhaps a form of some disorder, too.) Revenge/Wrath: "I want to see the tears Fill up your eyes I want to see you beg And apologize I want to walk behind you Without a sound I want to burn your body To the ground" Tom has been through something with this person. He wants that person to feel how he felt during those times. Wrath: "I want my silence to keep You up at night I want you to know the hatred You incite I want you to sit and listen To me scathe I want to dance upon your Sorry grave" Somewhat ditto as the previous lyric, but instead of wanting this someone to feel how Tom felt, he wants this someone to suffer in silence. Mystery disorder/Intrusive Thoughts: "Don't let my silence Bother you I'm only seething Don't misconstrue Silence as safety As security There's an explosion Inside of me" Perhaps Tom doesn't actually feel the words he has said. Maybe these words are Tom's intrusive, unwanted thoughts about that person. I may have gotten some things wrong, if so, please correct me |

not really a meaning but more of a theory: to connect with the assisted suicide speculation, i think why the outro is so long is because you died; you're dead. When you're dying, your senses fade away. One of the last senses to go, is hearing. We are hearing our life fading away. im not good at theorizing but i wanted to share that. |
