I've listened to this song a million times and love it, and the lyrics always make me smile. Like all presidents songs, really. And the lyrics sound pretty innocent, if a bit morbid. But what always makes me wonder is the verse at the end where he says "I'd rather gather your bones, than mop up this mess" etc, sounds almost like her death wasn't an accident. Or maybe he just really hates cleaning the house? |
