@agelist I may be totally off line and trapped inside my own head, but the line about death is actually stating he can only find the truth about life after death, if there is such a thing, after he dies. If he wakes up, to whatever might be there waiting for him, then he will have found what he is seeking, a reason for living a life with values. If he does not become aware, them he will never know life is meaningless because he will no longer exist. This is the basis for my entire philosophy of life, we cannot know until we die -- so why make a big fuss. I choose to live my life as if it has value, but I am not going to hate snyone for believing different from me. It's not worth it. In the end, no matter what we believe, we will either be "there,," all in the same place, or we will be nowhere. To me, The Seeker realizes this, and now he has to wait. Listen to "The Art of Dying" by Geirge Harrison. It too can give a different outlook on life.. Peace! |
